Published material and reviews - reading lists

The reading lists, which have been drawn up by experienced teachers and higher education tutors in ITT, comprise:

  • Reading lists for A level Economics students and A level Business Studies (updated 2011) - Most titles on these lists are suitable for all A level students although some will suit only the ablest students but will help teachers. The Word version can be used to tailor it to the needs of your own students.  In general, no prices are given because they vary from one supplier to another and also depend on the number ordered. Some books have been reviewed in ‘Teaching Business and Economics’ and are cross-referenced to the relevant issue.

  • A specimen reading list for trainees which provides numerous references for ITT. This list can be used as a source of ideas for a PGCE reading list. We are grateful to Staffordshire University for providing this. Most of these texts are generic reading for ITT and as such would be appropriate for all areas of ITT including Economic Well-being (EWB).
