Published material and reviews - reviews of published material
A day probably doesn't go by when a flyer or email arrives offering the latest suggestion for you to part with your department's precious funds to buy a resource or subscription that will solve all your problems. It can be a daunting task finding the time and motivation to come to an accurate assessment of the usefulness of a particular resource.
These pages aim to offer reviews from experienced teachers and higher education tutors for materials that have been published by reputable publishers, government organisations and other outside agencies. These reviews have previously been published in the EBEA magazine, Teaching Economics and Business. Follow the menu links on the left to the list of reviews which are categorised by subject. The links against each of the reviews takes you to the edition of the magazine where the review was first published.
We also give below details of two books, which are recommended as essential reading for initial teacher trainers and trainees in all areas of teaching training - Economics PGCE, Business PGCE and Business & Economics PGCE as well as those following and supporting the Scottish Economics PGDE, Business PGDE and Business & Economics PGDE . Reviews of these two books, which can be downloaced from the column on the right, are by experienced teacher trainers.
