Workshop at the 2011 Conference

This comprehensive unit provides recommendations for approaches to teaching different aspects of the curriculum. It also provides exemplar lesson plans with rationales, suggestions for further reading, revision strategies and website links. The lessons which are supported with an article entitled Why teach this way? are particularly designed to help the development process.  

All the resources in this section can be:

  • downloaded and used directly
  • used as the focus for reflection on your practice
  • used as the basis for in-house CPD to help a department develop good practice

These pages address issues specific to individual subjects. They not only support your work with your students who are are learning economics or learning business studies we hope you will find useful the pages on economic well-being, financial capability and enterprise. We have not attempted to address all topic areas of the curriculum, only those that have been identified by members as being difficult to find helpful material to support their teaching. If there is a topic area you feel should be included on these pages please, of course, let us know.
