Generic issues for experienced teachers - Writing and amending case studies

Case studies are an integral part of economics and business education. The majority of awarding bodies utilise case studies, both unseen and pre-released, in order to assess the abilities of the students completing their examinations at GCSE and A Level. 

Case studies are, therefore, an important teaching and learning tool that teachers should include in their scheme of work in order to familiarise the students with the type of assessment methodology that they will encounter at the end of the units of study. Case studies also provide an opportunity to develop the skills of application at a more macro level, both in economics and business related studies and can provide a vignette of the world at large.
