    What is PDP?

    PDPs (Professional Development Placements) provide the opportunity for teachers and education advisers to spend time with local business and industry. This form of professional development is designed to support the delegate's work e.g. curriculum support, management skills, careers advice, IAG (Information, Advice & Guidance), WRL (Work Related Learning), enterprise and so on. PDP is a vital EBL (Education Business Link) activity and is seen by many schools and colleges as an invaluable way of improving employer engagement. Business Studies and Economic teachers can use PDP as a tool to enliven the curriculum. PDP has been instrumental in developing case studies, curriculum resources and a wide range of industry linked student activities.     Our Certificate for Introduction to Securities & Investment is designed to provide students in full time education with an introduction to the financial services industry. It aims to help develop their awareness of career opportunities, as well as their own personal financial knowledge.

    The Certificate is the first CISI qualification with a UCAS tariff (up to 60 points) and is a two unit qualification.

    The first unit is a core, professional benchmark qualification used by the wholesale financial services industry. The second unit is a written project and students can earn UCAS points for completing the assignment. This qualification is very attractive to all types of schools and colleges throughout the UK.
