This unit aims to support the head of the business education department. 

Currently from the download column on the right we offer you support in the following areas:

Giving presentions - a set of three diagrams which we hope will be useful when giving presentations about the business studies curriculum and business education in general. These diagrams were developed in association with NAAIBEE (the National Association of Advisers and Inspectors of Business and Economics Education)

Work experience - DCSF report on Students’ Perceptions of Work Experience by the National Support Group for Work Experience

Inspections - in arriving at subject survey visit judgements, inspectors will use the relevant criteria and grade descriptors from the 2009 section 5 evaluation schedule and additional guidance specific to each subject. This supplementary subject-specific guidance for inspectors on making judgements during subject survey visits to schools for business studies specifically can be downloaded from the column on the right. It is currently in draft format and is expected to be finalised by the end of September 2010.
