Teaching and Learning for trainees - Differentiation

These materials consider the various ways in which classroom teachers differentiate and this is followed by a range of tasks and activities. Having worked through the article and activities trainees should:

• appreciate and gain experience of the processes and practices of differentiation
• understand the need to provide differentiated feedback to learners within formative processes of assessment
• understand how to support and guide learners and set appropriate and focused targets for learning
• appreciate the need to use assessment as a process in order to guide learning.
