Teaching and learning for CPD - Using discovery and problem based learning
The aim of discovery and problem based learning is to encourage students in classrooms to identify theories and solutions by themselves through an ‘active learning’ environment. By giving students the opportunity to learn through problem based learning will develop broader key skills such as how to transfer their knowledge and apply their understanding crucially to new situations. (Hmelo-Silver, 2004).
