General Curriculum information - GCSE: the awarding body perspective
To give teachers a chance to compare the new courses on offer, we asked each awarding body to outline the distinctive features of its own courses. Their responses were published in the summer 2009 editiion of the EBEA magazine and can be downloaded from the column on the right. The article gave valuable background information on the awarding bodies' own perspective and we are also pleased to offer here their contributions as downloads.
These articles provide a bird’s eye view of each course, as well as providing details of any teacher support services available from the awarding bodies and sources of further information. Areas which are common to all courses are not covered in detail.
For a further perspective, it may be useful for you to look at Carol Sumner's article on Choosing a GCSE bsuiness course (see the link on the left).
